Job Title : K7TCL Development Researcher Experience : 5 Years Qualification: Any Degree with relevant experience Job Description : Advanced threat detection and cleanup routines must conform to a production-level coding standard for enhanced code stability and performance on the millions of end point computer which run K7 security products. The primary focus is on bridging the gap between lab and engine development at a technical coding level, with writing, and providing training on writing, production-level C code for threat detection and cleaning. Training must also cover coding best practise, including mandatory code reviews. Direct engine functionality development may also be required. Roles & Responsibilities
	Liaise with and consult engine developers to gain technical knowledge on engine internals
	Write production-level C code for threat detection and cleanup for K7 security products and standalone cleanup tools
	Provide training for threat researchers on writing production-level C code for threat detection and cleanup
	Provide best-practise guidelines and conduct code reviews
	Contribute development effort to enhanced engine functionality
	Aid in the documentation of engine functionality for lab consumption

Job Description:
The Process Lab wing of the Threat Control Lab (TCL) collects a large volume of files on a daily basis from a variety of sources. These files are processed in various ways, resulting in the issuing of detection data, population of clean data, storing of meta data, etc. The effective population and maintenance of lab data is vital in providing high-quality client protection. The focus is on a deep learning about the various processes and systems associated with TCL data processing in order to effectively execute day-to-day tasks, with a longer-term view of enhancing automation of these processes. In addition training will be provided in malware analysis techniques to provide a path towards threat researcher capabilities.

Roles & Responsibilities
	Attend comprehensive Process Lab training and diligently carry out day-to-day tasks
	Consistently follow documented policies, procedures and guidelines as defined by your line manager
	Contribute to the documentation of processes and systems for future reference
	Contribute to the enhancement of the automation of various systems and processes
	Attend TCL training and pass assessments
Skills & Experience Required:
	4-6 months of experience in a technical field related to computer systems
	Ability to communicate in the English language
	Ability to programme in a scripting language such as Perl, Python or VBS
	Comfort with the Windows operating system using both the command line (DOS and Batch commands) and GUI
	Working knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S) and FTP, and the use of the associated common command line and GUI tools, including wget, FTP clients and browsers
	Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
